AJAX is a popular web development technique which is used in almost every dynamic web application now a days, if you are looking for some really easy AJAX tutorial then you have come to the right place, I’ve created some very basic AJAX tutorials along with a small project, so you can practically learn AJAX. And I’ve used PHP as a server side scripting language with AJAX, so we can send a request to the server in order to get the result and display on the page. It’s very easy to use in web pages, and after watching my tutorials, you can start using it in your own projects.
The Definition of AJAX
AJAX is not a new programming language, but a new way to use existing standards.
AJAX is the art of exchanging data with a server, and updating parts of a web page – without reloading the whole page. It’s a fun and magic.
The above explanation is from w3schools.com, and I think it’s the best explanation of AJAX. You might have seen websites which are being updated by the users without reloading the web page for instance Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, YouTube and many others. If you comment or reply to a comment on Facebook, you see there is no page refresh, so this kind of tasks can be very easily done using AJAX. It actually sends a request to the server in background and returns the required data to display on the page where it was requested, so the website becomes much faster and provide much better user experience.
AJAX was initially adopted by Google, when its developers were working on Gmail application, they needed a way for updating the page without reloading, and thus AJAX came into being, after that all popular websites started using this new way of web development.
How to Use AJAX?
AJAX with PHP Video Tutorials
